Dassault Aviation returns to the Dubai Airshow, reinforcing its long-standing commitment to the Middle East. From November 17 to 21, the French aerospace leader will showcase its cutting-edge military and business aviation technologies, highlighting a strategic partnership with the United Arab Emirates that has flourished for half a century.
This partnership, which began with the Mirage 5 in 1973, continues to evolve. The UAE Armed Forces, a current operator of the Mirage 2000-9 fleet, are set to significantly enhance their capabilities with an order for 80 Rafale fighters, solidified in December 2021. The Rafale’s multirole prowess will be a central feature of the event, with a static display on the ground and dynamic aerial demonstrations performed by a detachment of the French Air and Space Force based at Al Dhafra.
At the Dassault Aviation stand, visitors will be invited to experience the future of air combat through an interactive “Battle Lab” simulator. This immersive technology will illustrate Dassault’s pioneering vision for networked, collaborative warfare.
The business aviation segment is equally prominent, with two flagship Falcons on display. The newly introduced Falcon 6X, entering service in 2023, boasts the largest cabin cross-section in its class, setting a new benchmark for in-flight comfort, tranquility, and natural light with an impressive 5,500 nm range. Alongside it, the Falcon 8X trijet demonstrates exceptional flexibility and efficiency in the very long-range category, capable of missions up to 6,500 nm.
The Falcon’s strong presence in the region is further supported by the ExecuJet service center in Dubai, a wholly-owned Dassault Aviation subsidiary that serves as a cornerstone of the robust Falcon support network, ensuring unparalleled reliability for operators across the Middle East.
