DHL Express has announced two senior leadership appointments in the Asia Pacific region, effective from January 1, 2026. Chee Choong Ng has been appointed as the new Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Asia Pacific, while Samuel Lee has been named Managing Director for DHL Express Taiwan.
Chee Choong Ng brings over two decades of experience within DHL Group to the regional HR role, having most recently served as Managing Director for Taiwan. He succeeds the retiring Mateen Thiruselvaam and will lead the people strategy for Asia Pacific. In his statement, Ng expressed honour at taking on the position and a commitment to aligning the people strategy to support both employees and business goals during a period of technological change.
Following Ng’s promotion, Samuel Lee will assume leadership in Taiwan. Lee, who has been with DHL Express since 1998, was most recently General Manager of the Central Asia Hub in Hong Kong, where he oversaw a significant expansion project. Lee noted the importance of Taiwan in global trade and expressed enthusiasm for working with the local team to drive service and growth.
Ken Lee, CEO of DHL Express Asia Pacific, stated the appointments reflect the company’s focus on talent and growth. He highlighted Chee Choong Ng’s operational background and Samuel Lee’s performance record as key strengths for strengthening the company’s position in a dynamic region driven by manufacturing, e-commerce, and digitalization.
