Lufthansa Technik and Estonian carrier Marabu Airlines have solidified their partnership with a multi-year extension of their comprehensive component support agreement. The new contract ensures Marabu’s expanding fleet of Airbus A320neo aircraft will continue to benefit from the technical expertise and global network of the market-leading service provider.
Under the renewed Total Component Support (TCS) agreement, Lufthansa Technik will manage the component supply for Marabu, granting the airline guaranteed access to a worldwide pool of serviceable spare parts, efficient repair services, and dedicated logistical support. This model is designed to maximize aircraft availability and streamline maintenance operations by covering nearly all replaceable components on the aircraft. The partnership, which began when Marabu launched operations in 2023, has now grown to include additional services such as the supply of consumables, aircraft engineering, and certification support.
The extended cooperation is a strategic pillar for Marabu’s ongoing growth. “Our partnership with Lufthansa Technik supports Marabu’s continued growth and ambition,” said Laszlo Molnar, Technical Director at Marabu Airlines. “As our fleet expands, having a strong technical partner allows us to maintain the high operational standards our passengers and partners expect.”
For Lufthansa Technik, the expanded contract underscores a successful and valued relationship. Tanja Pustolla, Corporate Sales Executive for Europe, Middle East, and Africa at Lufthansa Technik, highlighted the special connection: “We are honored that Marabu not only extended but also expanded their contracts with us. For us being a company in Germany, Marabu is even more special since they offer flights out of several German airports. We have established a very successful working relationship, and it is a privilege being part of Marabu’s growth.”
The agreement provides Marabu with predictable maintenance costs and operational stability, key factors as the airline scales its fleet and network. By leveraging Lufthansa Technik’s global scale and proven support model, Marabu can focus on its core business of passenger travel, assured that its technical needs are managed by an industry leader. This deepened collaboration marks a significant step for both companies, linking Marabu’s ambitious expansion plans directly with world-class technical reliability.
