National Flag Carrier Mauritania Airlines Selects StandardAero for LEAP-1B and CFM56-7B Engine MRO Support

StandardAero has been selected by Mauritania Airlines, the national flag carrier of Mauritania, to provide comprehensive MRO support for its fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft. The agreement covers maintenance, repair, and overhaul services for the CFM56-7B engines on the airline’s 737NGs and the LEAP-1B engines on its new 737 MAX 8s. This new contract significantly expands an existing relationship, as StandardAero has previously provided APU support for Mauritania Airlines’ Embraer E175 fleet.

The first CFM56-7B engine from the airline has already been inducted at StandardAero’s Winnipeg facility, while the inaugural LEAP-1B engine has been received at its San Antonio center. As a leading independent provider of aftermarket services, StandardAero emphasized its commitment to delivering responsive and timely support, which is critical for smaller fleet operators like Mauritania Airlines.

StandardAero is an authorized CFM International MRO provider with a long-established legacy. The company has supported the global CFM56-7B operator community from its Winnipeg location since 2010 and has recently added a second engine line at its Dallas facility to meet strong market demand. This provides customers with increased capacity and test cell redundancy. For the next-generation LEAP engines, StandardAero’s San Antonio site is a designated CFM LEAP Premier MRO provider, a status bolstered by the first non-airline CFM Branded Service Agreement in the Americas. The company’s extensive support network also includes advanced component repair services, with over 350 repairs industrialized for the LEAP family, and dedicated technician training programs to ensure continued high-quality service for its global customer base.
