In a significant boost to its aerial capabilities, the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), part of the Rostec state corporation, has successfully manufactured and delivered a new batch of advanced Su-35S multifunctional fighter jets to the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation. This delivery was completed under the ongoing state defence procurement program, underscoring a continuous effort to modernize the Russian Air Force with cutting-edge technology.

A Su-35S pilot from the Russian Air Force confirmed the receipt of the new aircraft, stating that this enhancement is crucial for meeting the targets set by the Minister of Defence for equipping troops. The pilot praised the Su-35S, affirming that it “fulfills all missions set out for us to the fullest extent and at the highest quality.” The primary role of the Su-35 is to establish air superiority, a task it is designed to perform effectively in challenging severe weather conditions and at extensive operational ranges from its home airfield. Experts often describe the aircraft as a vital transition link to more advanced fifth-generation aircraft systems.

Rostec’s representatives emphasized that their aircraft plants are operating at full capacity, maintaining a consistent and high rate of combat aircraft delivery to field units. They highlighted the formidable combination of attributes that make the Su-35S a dominant force. The fighter jet integrates modern ammunition power with advanced electronics and unique maneuverability. This potent synthesis of capabilities has led to it being characterized as a ‘one man army,’ capable of executing the most complex missions. Its operational portfolio is extensive, ranging from the protection of friendly aircraft groups and critical ground objects to the neutralization of both air and ground enemy targets.
