Embraer has officially broken ground on a new, state-of-the-art Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility at Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport, marking a significant expansion of its commercial aviation support in the United States. The new hangar, representing an investment of up to $70 million, is scheduled to open by 2027 and will substantially increase Embraer’s capacity to serve its E-Jets customers. This strategic growth is projected to create approximately 250 new skilled aviation jobs, reinforcing the company’s long-term commitment to the U.S. market where it has operated for over 46 years.
The groundbreaking ceremony brought together key figures including Embraer executives, Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker, and Hillwood Chairman Ross Perot Jr. Local leaders unanimously praised the project as a testament to the region’s robust business environment and its status as a global aviation hub. The collaboration between Embraer, the City of Fort Worth, Denton County, and the State of Texas highlights a powerful partnership focused on innovation and economic development. This new facility will become an integral part of Embraer’s extensive global network, joining more than 80 authorized service centers and 13 company-owned facilities worldwide. The expansion at Alliance Airport, where Embraer is already operating from an existing hangar, is poised to strengthen Fort Worth’s position as a leader in aerospace and advanced manufacturing for decades to come.
