Collins Aerospace Announces the Venue Smart Monitor With Airshow HD Will Enter Service on a Dassault Falcon 7X

Collins Aerospace has announced a significant advancement for business aviation with the service entry of its Venue smart monitor integrated with Airshow HD, scheduled for November aboard a Dassault Falcon 7X. This all-in-one in-flight entertainment (IFE) solution consolidates multiple functionalities into a single, elegant unit, eliminating excess hardware and simplifying cabin systems. The installation will be performed by the Dassault Falcon Jet service center in Little Rock, Arkansas, where two of the smart monitors will be embedded into the cabin bulkhead.

The system represents a major shift in cabin technology, delivering pristine 4K resolutions, streaming entertainment, and real-time flight information directly to passengers. A key feature is its flexibility; the Venue smart monitor is designed for installation across a wide range of aircraft, from very light jets to heavy aircraft, offering operators a phased upgrade path to suit various cabin layouts and budgets. This design philosophy reduces overall aircraft power consumption and simplifies ongoing maintenance.

Further enhancing the passenger experience is the dedicated Airshow HD mobile application. This app, available for download on personal devices, features an intuitive user interface with familiar iconography, allowing travelers to access the full suite of Airshow HD content—from high-definition moving maps to streaming media—directly from their seats. The system itself is available in five different sizes, with options for touchscreen and ultra-high-definition displays, providing customization for any interior.

Craig Bries, Vice President and General Manager of Commercial Avionics at Collins Aerospace, emphasized that this activation brings enhanced user interfaces and streaming content to more jets than ever before. The standalone system is being showcased at the 2025 NBAA convention in Las Vegas, highlighting its role as a streamlined and sophisticated entry point for modern business aviation entertainment.
